Chocolate Ice Cream Finished!

As promised, here are some action shots of freezing the ice cream actual.  First, the impressive ice cream machine!

Next I poured the custard into the machine's bucket.  It was a bit frothy so I poured it through a sieve to remove any potential egg curdles.

Inserting the paddle into the bucket was a piece of cake.  I set the timer for 50 minutes and let the machine do the work!

Now was the time to think of extras...

Ghiradelli chocolate chips: white, semi-sweet, and 60% cocoa!  I made my own Death By Chocolate ice cream!

My roommate, Bryan was unhappy about the lengthy process and the fact that I was taking pictures of it.

Because of the addition of chocolate I had to employ the use of a large ceramic jar to keep the arm steady so the paddle could move.

Soon enough though, the mixture was done, and I proceeded to pour it out into it's new homes.

It turned out to be quite delicious!
